The TruDesign Load Bearing Collar was nominated for HISWA Product of the Year 2016 at the HISWA Amsterdam Boat Show, a few months after it won its DAME Design Award category at Metstrade 2015. Product of the Year is a jury award; the 2016 title went to the VolansCOASTAL rowing boat.
The collar lets a TruDesign skin fitting, ball valve and hose tail assembly take the ABYC H-27 500 lb (227 kg) static load without extra fasteners through the hull.
