The TruDesign Air Handler Valve is nominated in the Manufacturing & Support category of the DAME Design Awards 2026. The winners are announced at the opening of Metstrade in Amsterdam on 17 November 2026, where TruDesign exhibits on stand 07.300A.
TruDesign developed the valve with Sunseeker International for marine air handler systems. It isolates individual air handlers on an insulated chilled-water loop, for servicing or when not in use, without breaking the insulation. The composite body conducts less heat than a metal valve, which reduces condensation and cooling loss. A raised handle and insulation shroud keep the lagging sealed and the handle position visible, positive stops confirm open or closed by feel, and the full-flow ball doesn't restrict the cooling water.
The DAME Design Awards, in their 35th year in 2026, are judged by an international jury on overall design, build quality, functionality and use of materials.
